Permeability Teaster

Porous Materials Inc Products - Permeabilitiy Tester

Gas Permeameter-Gurley
Gas permeability is occasionally expressed in Gurley. Gurley permeability is defined as the time in seconds required for flow of 100 cm3 of air through one square inch of sample at a differential pressure of 125 mm water (equivalent to 4.921 inch of water or 0.178 psi).

Feature

  1. Permeability measurement of high flow rate samples
  2. Permeability of samples under compressive stress
  3. Use of elevated test temperatures and a wide variety of gases

Principle

  • The Advanced Gurley Permeability Tester is used to determine the permeability of porous solids. A gas such as air is forced to flow through the test sample. Measurements of the steady-state flow rate and the corresponding pressure drops provide the necessary data for calculation of the Permeability using darcy and other units.

Air Permeability Range
  • 0.35μm/(Pa•s) and 15μm/(Pa•s) and 0.1 μm/(Pa•s) and 100 μm/(Pa•s)
Pressure Gauge
  • 0.5 psi
Sample Size
  • 100cm2 (Others avalible)
